Swindon Charity Ball

The theme for this year’s Charity Ball is Bollywood Nights and we are raising money solely for the Brighter Futures
Radiotherapy Appeal. We hope the Appeal can reach its final target (or certainly be very close) once the Ball has taken
place and the final total raised by us is known. The sooner the equipment is in and running the better for all those who
currently have to make the long journey for their treatment.
The evening is looking to be a colourful, exciting evening and the committee are continuing to work hard to ensure all
our guests have a wonderful evening as well as raising money for our worthy chosen charity. The entertainment has
been booked and once again 24/7 will be the live group playing after the meal to the end of the evening.
Each year since 1989, the Ball has raised funds local charities. The organising partners of the Rotary Club of Swindon, the
Swindon Marriott Hotel and the Swindon Advertiser with support from many local businesses, to date has raised over
£790,000.
There are still tickets available for the Ball (£80 per person or table of 10 is £800) On the night there will be the
opportunity to raise more money by purchasing raffle tickets, entering the silent auction and the main auction.
If anyone would like to take tickets to the Ball, be a sponsor or donate prizes, please contact Sue Harding, Charity Ball
secretary, susanjharding@btinternet.com or phone 01793 813147.
