The Babyleo is Dräger’s first IncuWarmer that provides optimal thermoregulation for neonates in open care, closed care and transition. With the combination of three heat sources, this incubator protects our little patients so they can grow while making workflow easier with quick and comfortable access to the baby.
The convective heater, dual radiant warmer and heated mattress are synchronised to keep the temperature stable so heat loss and overheating are avoided. The convective heater is activated on a low level while the radiant heater is running so when we decide to switch modes, the transition can happen immediately giving quick access without having heat loss.
Advanced therapy warm-up, weaning and cooling modes allow us to focus on our little patients. The closed humidification system allows us to set the humidity level up to 99% RH in manual mode or gives us the option to use Auto mode.
Using the most advanced technology to support the Unit's family-centred care approach, the large variable height adjustment range plus other elements allow parents to comfortably get closer to their baby. The Family View clearly displays baby's therapy status and progress so it is easy to understand at a glance helping to integrate parents into the care process.
The incubator hood design allows us to open it with only one finger giving exceptionally fast and easy access. The jumbo hand-ports enable us to reach the entire bed area. The variable height adjustment ensures a comfortable workplace and allows Mums to be closer to their babies, even when sitting in a wheelchair. The unit as a whole provides greater access for parents to hold and touch their babies much more, right from the early days (Kangaroo Care). This has huge benefits for parents and babies.
Babyleo has an extremely low operating noise level as well as light and noise monitoring inside the compartment. This means our baby's exposure to potentially harmful stimuli can be reduced. A safely integrated audio stimulation function gives us the opportunity to play mum's heartbeat or voice to soothe and stabilise baby.
