Susan Nanney - Pippa

Pippa was born in April 2016 at 30+5 due to severe Preeclampsia.

I went into hospital to get checked over with swelling and a pain in my side, little did I know she would be delivered that night!

Having a baby premature takes you totally by surprise, one day you’re at work the next your having a baby. You’re not prepared physically or mentally and your brain goes into overdrive about what you still need to prepare and purchase.

Pippa was delivered by Cesarean section and passed straight over to the neonatal team from SCBU, we were able to get a quick peek before they whisked her off to get her stabilised and into her incubator.
