A team of Electrical contractors from SSE Enterprise Contracting Swindon completed the 3 peaks challenge within 24 hours for the Radiotherapy Appeal. Team spokesman Kevin Foxworthy said "We aimed to raise as much money for our chosen charity Brighter Futures as possible."
The challenge involved climbing Ben Nevis in Scotland (1345 meters), Scafell Pike in England (978 meters) and Snowdon in Wales (1085 meters) within a grueling 24 hours!
Each mountain is climbed in turn, with over 1000 miles of driving to complete the challenge!
Following the challenge at the weekend Kevin said "We are all so proud of completing this challenge, despite the horrific weather , midge attacks and cabin fever brought on by 26 hours of driving. We battled through the exhaustion and pulled through as a team to reach each summit.
However, the struggle we faced pales into insignificance when compared to cancer sufferers in Swindon and Wiltshire who must endure hours of travel to receive treatment. Many of us have friends or family that has had to endure this and to aid the Brighter Futures charity is a great honour."
The team pictured below who completed the challenge in less than 24 hours were; Barrie Bridgman, Chris Bendry, Marcin Grzybowski, Bradley Maisey, Adam Zarczynski, Patrick Cronin, Bradley Farrell, Lawrence Rees, Carl Byworthy, Sam Clegg and Kevin Foxworthy.

So far the team has raised £3,718.77 and if you would like to support them, visit their Just Giving page here.
